Dr. Taylor Flowers
Piano Instructor
Dr. Taylor Flowers is a collaborative artist, vocal coach, and private piano instructor currently working at Hillsdale College, the University of Michigan, and Temple Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2022, he began an appointment as pianist for the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club. After receiving degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Hillsdale College, Taylor received his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano in Ann Arbor where he studied with Martin Katz. Taylor has performed in master classes with Christoph Prégardien, Roger Vignoles, Graham Johnson, Alan Smith, and many others, and is particularly passionate about art song and operatic repertoire. Taylor is an alumnus of the Kent/Blossom Music Festival, SongFest, the Austrian American Vocal Academy, and the Cleveland Art Song Festival. He grew up in Colorado is passionate about all things outdoors.
